1904.8. Hitch hikers in Idaho

Here's a picture of some of the many hitch hikers we picked up
yesterday in our wind storm across the plains of southern Idaho.

The winds have died down but it's 53 degrees this morning! Brrrrr
(says this Texas girl)!

Final leg into Portland today. The anticipation is building!!

Keep the comments coming! You have no idea how many jillions of times
we check the blog!

  1. Each time I (we) post a comment we are asked to type a word verification (presumably to prove we are each humans). Here is a short list of the "words" I have had to verify:
    ousib
    chlif
    shirea
    lerri
    intriz
    objughte
    untinsw
    ammicat
    bultest
    celjusne
    emendapo
Spend the next hour of driving time trying to figure these out.

  2. I've got "palig" and "artho" to add to that list. I can't remember the rest. Apparently, my short term memory is akin to that of a dragonfly.
And, it's 53.. in the summer? That scares me. How could you possibly get a tan in the summer in Idaho, when you are balled up in a corner, wearing your North Face and two long sleeved shirts over your bathing suit? Seriously? Now I KNOW I don't need to visit Idaho.
Wait, do they have skiing there? They must. OKAY.. BACK ON THE LIST!

  3. OK so the weather on Cape Cod is sunny and the 70's and gorgeous! Falmouth Road Race weekend - let's hope the weather holds. Looks like you and the Matix are doing well - yeah!
